- ABSTRACT This article describes a set of guidelines for the preparation of items that can measure analogical reasoning (AR), placing emphasis on the analogies of figures. The construct is conceptualized in a concise way and its importance to evaluate intellectual ability is highlighted. The AR psychometric current of knowledge is mainly taken into account and the procedure that this reasoning follows during the resolution of figural matrices is explained. The guidelines that are relevant both for the preparation and administration of these items are as follows: a) consider the double resolution pathway of an A:B::C:D proportional analogy, b) develop a unique resolution strategy for both paths, c) consider n strategies for the confection of nk items, d) create items to be resolved by using only analogical reasoning, e) considerations for response options, and f) considerations regarding the administration of the test.
RESUMEN
El presente artículo describe una serie de pautas para la confección de ítems que miden el Razonamiento Analógico (RA), estableciendo énfasis en las analogías de figuras. Se conceptualiza
dicho constructo brevemente y se destaca su importancia para
medir la capacidad intelectual. Se aborda principalmente la vertiente psicométrica del RA y se explica el procedimiento que dicho
razonamiento sigue ante la resolución de matrices figurales. Las
pautas que se plantean tanto para la confección de estos reactivos como para su administración son las siguientes: a) considerar
el doble camino de resolución de una analogía de proporción
A:B::C:D, b) desarrollar una estrategia unívoca de resolución para
ambos caminos, c) tomar en cuenta n estrategias para generar nk
ítems, d) crear ítems a ser resueltos únicamente por la vía del
razonamiento analógico, e) consideraciones en cuanto a las opciones de respuesta, y f) consideraciones en cuanto a la administración.
