- ABSTRACT It is a bibliographical análisis of Freud´s texts, as well as his biography writen by Ernest Jones, in order to test the veracity of certain statements made by some critical historians of psychoanalysis, such as Ellenberger, Sulloway and Gauchet. Those statements attribute to Freud and his followers a groundless attribution of absolute originality in relation to the creation of the concept of the unconscious. The methodology consists of the confrontation of primary and secondary sources, looking for the quotations taken from the texts of Freud and Jones by the critical historians in order to contextualise them and to try to verify if the sense with the one that they were written is the one that is claimed by the previously mentioned historians.
historiadores.
