- ABSTRACT The aim of this paper is to research the relations between adhesion to certain types motivational and political orientation in students of Psychology College of the University of Buenos Aires. We performed a correlational descriptive study of a purposive sample consisting of 133 students of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Buenos Aires. The 30.1% are male (n = 40) and 69.9% females (n = 93). The ages ranged between 18 and 61, with a mean age of 25.15 years (SD = 8.396). We use the Schwartz Portrait Values Questionnaire (1992), the Scale of Ideological Position (Rodriguez, Sabucedo and Costs, 1993) and a demographic survey. The results indicate that the ideological positioning has not significant relationships with the location within the bipolarity of values. Significant positive correlation was seen between the ideological position and value achievement is observed as well.
RESUMEN
El presente trabajo se propone indagar la existencia de relaciones
entre la adhesión a determinadas tipos motivacionales y la orientación política en estudiantes de la Facultad de Psicología de la
Universidad de Buenos Aires. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo
correlacional sobre una muestra intencional constituida por 133
estudiantes de la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de
Buenos Aires. El 30,1% correspondió al sexo masculino (n=40) y
el 69,9% al sexo femenino (n=93). Las edades se distribuyeron
entre los 18 y 61 años, con una media de edad de 25,15 años
(DT=8,396). Se utilizó la Escala de Valores de Schwartz (1992); la
Escala de Posicionamiento Ideológico (Rodriguez, Sabucedo y
Costas, 1993) y una encuesta con datos demográficos. Los resultados indicarían que el posicionamiento ideológico no presenta
relaciones significativas con la ubicación dentro de la bipolaridad
de valores. Asimismo solamente se observa correlación significativa positiva entre el posicionamiento ideológico y el valor logro.
